It takes a village of volunteers to support all of the programming at FiftyNorth. More than 200 per week, in fact. Volunteers make FiftyNorth thrive. They bake goodies for events at the center, serve as classroom instructors, monitor the pool, and sit on committees and the board of directors. 

They also staff two non-profit enterprises whose proceeds help keep our dues and fees affordable. 

Do you love thrift shops? FiftyNorth’s Used-a-Bit Shoppe needs volunteers who can work 2-4 hours per week in all aspects of the its operation—evaluating donations of gently used household items, art, and furniture, and serving as cashiers, fix-it folks, and furniture movers.  

Or maybe you’d prefer to hang out at FiftyNorth’s iconic Popcorn Wagon on Bridge Square. Between May and September, volunteers provide townsfolk and visitors with the tastiest popcorn and least expensive soft drinks in town, along with a warm welcome and directions for those who need them. That could be you.
